Craigend and Garthamlock Water Towers

The Craigend and Garthamlock water towers lit up this evening to mark the start of a five-day Discover Festival. The Festival will feature the history and heritage of Glasgow's East End.

The towers were originally built to supply Glasgow with water from Loch Katrine.

The Festival will feature a programme of performances, events and tours across the East End, to encourage people to re-discover the amazing buildings and history on their doorstep.
