"Ennerdl watter", or as the English say ...

"Ennerdale Water".

Just a wee bit secret, inasmuch as you can't drive up it and out the top, as you can with virtually all the other valleys. You can even drive up Wasdale; but not out the other end. There was no shortage of wanderers however. Even a pair of micro-orienteers, who must have been all of 6yrs old, complete with Mam and Dad.

As is ever the case we had a committee meeting and gaffer elected this one.

"One of us" has a thing about fences I believe? It was rather comical because the fence was low enough for me to stand with a leg either side and no fear of "orchestration" and yet there was a gate twice as high, with spikes on top and a gap beneath that all but a Great Dane could, practically, walked under without even ducking.
Must "hev a deek" up Wasdale one of these days. Or as we call it Wazzdle.

HEHEH!  I can use this as yet another chance to point out that we have only ONE Lake in the lake-District ... Bassenthwaite: all the rest are meres, waters, tarns, etc.
