Conspicuous or what?

I'm not a huge fan of the telephoto lens when it comes to photographing.

Several reasons. It feels intrusive for a start, as if I'm stalking a deer. Secondly it's impersonal. You have no connection with the subject.

Thirdly everyone notices me. Despite dressing like a Notting Hill resident on the way to the shops, one sight of the foot long white lens and everyone is looking. Not at who I might be 'Papping', just at me.

I happened to have given this woman directions 10 minutes before I took her photograph which is why I think she's thinking "Ah! that's what you are up to"
