Too soon ?

I saw a bunch of daffodils in Morrisons in Dunoon yesterday and bought them. I love daffodils in the house in the winter as they seem to promise that spring is on its way.

But as winter has not officially started (that is on the 1st of December although it has been cold enough this week to make that date merely academic) I wondered if I had bought them too soon.

Then at lunchtime I suddenly glimpsed the sun illuminating them in their vase in the kitchen and I was glad to have succumbed to temptation.
