The Widow's Sons Chapter of The Edinburgh Hell's Angels are holding a photoshoot on the promenade this morning and won the contest to be my blip. It was one of those days where Blips abound - I set off to blip the Tardis at the end of my road, aka the Old Edinburgh Police Box that stands in the heart of Joppa as today is the 50th Anniversary of Dr Who. On the beach I met the personal trainer, Andy, who would have been a brilliant subject, had I not already got my Tardis blips and then I ran into this Chapter and they won! Our two sons have flown up from London with tickets for the International at Murrayfied this afternoon and they might feature in my blip tomorrow!

In wider news I am following events in Geneva with great interest as an Iranian sanctions settlement seems imminent and our thoughts are also with the Riga residents in the Latvian capital where 51 have died in the tragic collapse of a new supermarket roof.
