The Spotted Dog

Back in the 90s there was much wringing of hands around the number of town centre banks that we're being turned into "trendy wine bars" - you may remember the advert.

Well nowadays the table has turned, with urban pubs disappearing at a rapid rate and being turned into housing. Until recently this was the Spotted Dog, and as you can see it has that tiled facade and structure if the classic London boozer (there's even a Dalmatian's head over the door). Now it's a fancy set of apartments, and although the conversion has been tasteful and stylish (I expect the pub is listed), it's still another community asset that will never be returned.
