Tag alders and icicles

I took the afternoon off today and went for a nice walk. It was a sunny afternoon, for a change. The weather cooled off yesterday. Walked down a disused mining road, to the big lake. From a high point, I could hear water falling, so I climbed over a ridge and was rewarded with a couple of small waterfalls coming off a cliff edge, maybe 15 m up. It was quite pretty. Will have to get back there earlier in the day sometime when the light is better. On the way back I took a different route, and came upon some old mining machinery that I hadn't known about. A productive walk.
