Living with a 'black dog'

This black dog statue appeared today outside National Archives of Scotland building, at the top of North Bridge.

Lots of people were stopping to read the information in front of the dog, it is a campaign by mental health charity SANE designed to attract attention and change people's view of mental health illnesses like depression. And the black dog is a metaphor for depression. Visually striking, not to be ignored or forgotten.
