Little geep chick, big mouth

The first Northern Giant Petrel in my study area poking its head out from underneath its mother and giving a big yawn. I'd spotted eggshell fragments the previous day but it was raining hard and the adult was sitting tight. Today was sunny and mild so she was shuffling about, letting the air get to the chick so it wouldn't overheat.
