autumn / the quarry / beth

and so the 'things i love about shrewsbury' theme continues. we took a walk to the quarry at lunchtime to take some pictures with the autumn leaves. unfortunately, we'd left it a little late and a lot of the lovely autumn leaves were trodden into the ground. we still had some fun though and it was nice to get out in the sunshine, despite the freezing temperatures.

i left a good chunk of my community behind when i left zambia and so i am exceedingly grateful to have met this wonderful girl. beth is an artist and works on the floor below. so far beth has turned out to be:

- moving house helper
- fellow beer drinker
- bike riding buddy
- park run first timer
- 'youth' gospel member

and best of all, a jolly good friend.
