Rage against the dying of the light
Torrential rain for two days has kept my camera in it case. That, and work. The only blips worth taking over the last two days are of my 6pm glass of wine and my new electric blanket. Everything else has been this computer or the inside of my car.
But whilst catching up today I looked up and saw the sun so rushed outside with the dogs to walk by the river. I haven't been this way for over a week, but in that short time the trees have lost all their leaves leaving the branches like human limbs. In a few weeks the first of the snowdrops will be emerging. That thought keeps me going.
Just before the sun dipped I caught this skeleton of an umbellifer, a small November firework.
