Beyond Repair

Today men armed with buckets of paint came down our street, painting over all the graffiti, which seems to be everywhere. The "fix" for this crumbled wall is a large piece of corrugated steel, and I imagine it will remain in place until the entire building returns to dust.

I wonder how long it will be until the kids with their spray paint again mindlessly deface even this.
