Bottoms Up!
A tiny (3 or 4mm) homalictus bee (I think) diving headfirst into a chive flower.
Here is the same bee blowing a nectar bubble, which it does to concentrate it, I believe.
And here is an orange bottomed reed bee (again, I think – they are hard to identify!) Slightly bigger, maybe 5mm.
I wish Australian native bees were bigger – I get eye strain trying to find them!
