Only half a day of class today! Yay! So when we finished around lunch time this afternoon, I met with Lais (Brazil) and Ida (Finland) and went back to their flat for lunch. With Lais’ mum visiting from Brazil for the week, I had the chance to speak and brush up on my Portuguese, which I loved! Apparently I could pass as being Brazilian according to the way I say some of the things. WOOP!
After lunch I went to meet Amel for a catch up. We spent the afternoon visiting Fourviére, and just taking in the view over the city. Not having seen each other in a while, it was nice talking, and catching up. A little bit later, we also met with Hana, and we spent the rest of the time wandering around with nowhere in particular to be.
I eventually left the girls and made my way to teach English. Once again, it turned into a good but very long lesson as I tried to help her with a presentation she had coming up. But we had a laugh about it, and it’s nice to be able to build friendships with people unrelated to my university and course.
