Starting to get somewhere
Today was much more fun.
I began to think of the work less as a drawing that I'm trying to make a linocut of and more as... an interesting linocut. I've managed to 'let go' of that original drawing and let it develop and change as a linocut.
Proofing the work in progress was an eye-opener, even if the pressure was a tad too heavy. Coo. Look!
I was using a sharper cutting tool today which didn't make the lino 'crumb' and this made it easier to cut and much more enjoyable.
I'll carry on cutting (that was the Carry On film they didn't make, about a bunch of inept cosmetic surgeons) so that I'm ready to proof again next Thursday morning.
