Autumn colours - with squirrel

I woke up a few times last night. The first time was just after 2.00 am, and the news about Stuart Broad's successes was just emerging as the cricket teams had paused for lunch. When I woke again around 5.00 am, it was even better news :-)

Chilly swim this morning - not for the faint-hearted - but the weather improved and around lunchtime the light was rather special.

I went for a walk in my favourite wood, Pipe Hall Farm, and found lots to attract my camera. I would share some more, but I can't get Twitpic to load !

Just by the entrance to the woodland, there's a big round tin, labelled. It's "Benji's Ball Box" - "Have you lost a ball ? Never mind. Have one of these that I've found". Maybe Molly the Gorgeous Collie could do the same.....

The colours were wonderful. So I finally settled on a shot from deep in the wood, the ferns - complete with cheeky squirrel
