Did anyone mention the wind?

Brisk walk today, cool at 3 degrees and still blowy. Sadly 6 -10 trees down on our walk round Laggan Hill/Lady Mary's Walk today. Probably one of the strongest winds I've ever experienced yesterday - right up till after midnight. Strange how it never merited a mention on the news or weather forecast, must be because we are north of Watford! (just joking). On the plus side, no leaves to sweep up - they all landed in the river!
