Cold and Crisp........

.............but, as usual at the moment, dark clouds are coming our way and it looks as if it may rain very soon. This a village about 7 miles away and I had hoped the Church would be open, I think I was a bit early anyway but the sun was too good to miss.
This imposing 13th-14th Century St Andrew's Church, is the visual focal point of the village, there is also a small village green and traditional pub. There is a Post Office and general store further along the high street.
Am pleased I was there fairly early - as I thought, the sun has gone in and there are now grey clouds though I can see one small patch of blue sky - not enough to make a pair of Dutchman's breeches/trousers though! (I don't know where this saying comes from but my mother used to say it!)

Started the day beautifully sunny - about 10.30am, in rolled dark clouds - seems to be the pattern at the moment. Temperature is around 40Deg.F. and I don't think there was a frost last night.[/i
