Branch or bird?

This is the first tawny frogmouth sighting since I rescued the blind one from a feral cat several weeks ago.

I'm amazed I noticed them as they blend in so well with their surroundings. I love the way they take on the branch-like shape as their first line of defence, not least because you can get really close to them.
