The Nutting Picnic, 2013
Members of Street Quaker Meeting have been holding the Nutting Picnic every autumn for maybe 150 years. Traditionally it has been in a wood near Kingweston, with a fire to boil a kettle for tea, and shared goodies, but the site has been taken over for pheasant rearing, so this year we met outside an old gamekeeper's cottage in a wood near Pilton. (With thanks to our hosts!) However, I think we failed to find ripe hazelnuts or even blackberries!
