Female Blackie.
The snow has almost disappeared and in its place is a rather cold, grey day.
This female blackbird here is the boldest of our bird visitors. Most fly away as soon as I appear but not her. She keeps about two metres away but hops about rather boldly. I only see her in the early morning so I'm kind of lucky it was light enough to take a shot. Not the most colourful of birds but I'm sure her mate loves her!!!
I've seen Ron Sexsmith play live a couple of times.
The first time was at the Lemon Tree, Aberdeen. After his set, he came down to the bar with his band. I offered to buy him a drink, Scottish hospitality don't you know!, and they joined us at our table and we spent the night chatting, drinking and dancing, not with me, with my wife.
I have about nine CDs of his. There was a documentary on him on BBC a couple of years ago.
This track is called Gold In Then Hills and yes, that is Chris Martin from Coldplay. A few people have covered his songs including Michael Bublé. ( Hey, I managed an acute on the e!!)
