The mystery of the disappering swams has been solved.

Apparently, there was an oil spill further upstream a little while ago and in order to prevent harm to the swans, the RSPCA came and took them away.

I'm told the water has now been cleaned, and soon the swans will be returned.

Phew! what a relief.
