Build a Crane

Further developments on campus today when I returned to my office - I often wondered how these huge cranes were constructed on site ... with another crane!

The tower crane appears to be bedded down on a huge concrete platform and this mobile crane with a huge telescopic beam is lifting the sections up for workers to join on - a bit like giant mechano from my childhood!

Archaeologists are still hard at it with another big section being dusted down and inspected.
