Ullswater on a Good Day

Taken from Howtown - very quiet during the week offseason . I decided to get out today, weather was good and I was very tired (due to one and a half hours sleep - I do this occasionally) the choice was , ' do I spend some time in the comfy electric recliner in front of the fire catching zzzzzds or do I go out into the Lakes with my camera and Yan. ' Here is the result.

Good deed of the day. Three walkers were stranded at Howtown (got ferry times wrong) I ended up during nearly a full circle around the lake and back and over to Lowther Castle to photograph silhouettes with the full moon behind - got the moonrise and position wrong. So all in all it's been rather a long day - I forgot to mention Brougham Castle where I ended up having accidentally got on the wrong road - so where were we, long day ending at the Fetherston Arms in Kirkoswald with a large glass of red.
