Cable
Well now I'll bet you thought this was an XLR plug for a three pin analogue microphone cable. ... Come on now, admit it. You DID ... didn't you? See. I knew it.
Actually this is three pin DMX cable. It's what makes a digital connection between the LED lighting console and a daisy chain of light emitting diode stage lanterns. Each of the lights in the chain may be programmed to be recognised by the computer in the console as a separate peripheral device and thus able to be directed to display different colours and intensities from all of the others. Okay, now that we've cleared that up .... Don't go! I know it's technical but what fun! .... Right? .... Aaaaaanyway I think it's pretty in its own right and well worth a macro capture with the G12 - which does this sort of thing without complaint of any kind.
