Calm before the drama

We went to the canal this afternoon in the hope of seeing barges using the locks but the locks were closed and being repaired. We shortened our walk and were returning to the car via this side shoot of the canal. Little did we know what would happen 100 yds further on by the lock gates as we stopped to take this shot. A man had fallen into the water and his wife was desperately trying to get him out. He was weighed down by a backpack and winter clothing but we all managed to pull him up to the lock gate and safety. As we walked back to the car together I explained that we were there to take a picture for blip. He wasn't keen to go back and fall in again so that we could get a good action shot, so I'm afraid it is this calm relection.
