Pay It Forward

I was very happy to learn the final total of my sponsorship for Sunday's marathon. With only two working days' notice, the staff at our school raised ¥34,700. U.N.I.C.E.F. will use this money to help the victims of the tornado which struck the Philippines. As J.K. Rowling said recently when discussing her "cage-beds" charity, "What's the point of being alive if you don't try to make the place better?"
