Hanging on

The leaves of four of my cherry trees have finally turned and are starting to drop. The other, smaller-leaved cherries turned and dropped their leaves a few weeks ago. In my garden now, I just have a Japanese Maple still green and a willow that's always last to lose it's leaves. Is it just me or does autumn seem very late this year?
I spent today getting my washing done but didn't quite manage the ironing.. I'm hoping the fairies will do that for me while I'm asleep.. ;-)
P.s. tried 6x to post this yesterday (right day!) but couldn't get it to go. Thank goodness I'd copied and could paste write up on! I'm at the station having dropped hubby off and there's 3G here so.. Fingers crossed...
