Tongan Banana Spider

There has been a dried up spider in a jar since I started working at the school. It looks and smells like it used to be immersed in formalin. I thought that such a fine specimen deserved to be carefully cleaned of its white crystals and put in a new jar with alcohol. The label says Tongan banana spider but a quick search online suggests there is no such thing...
