Location

I was back in Oban this afternoon and I wanted to get a blip of the war memorial which I attended last weekend for the remembrance parade.

It is in the most stunning location to the north of the town centre on the road to Ganavan and facing out to Kerrera, Mull and North Lorn. It is so close to the sea that the lifeboat sits off shore during the remembrance service with the crew mustered on deck.

I was fortunate that as I stopped to take a picture the "Clansman" came into shot on its way into Oban from Coll & Tiree emphasising just how close ferries pass as they enter the bay.
