Fill Me a Bottle of Sack
Not advertising the pub - have never even been in there, but loved the berry colours against the roof of a neighbouring restaurant.
Apparently, the name comes from a quote in Shakespeare's play Henry IV, 'fill me a bottle of sack: our soldiers shall march through; we'll to Sutton Co'fil' tonight'. Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden, was a member of a leading local family. "Sack" was fortified white wine, like sherry - and probably comes from the Spanish 'sacar' - to 'draw out' - from the barrels.
Interesting find - I never knew Sutton Coldfield was mentioned in Shakespeare.
