The Big Wheel

We've got the builders in at college, again - it'll be nice when it's finished. This winding mechanism is from one of the tens of collieries which existed in the Wigan area. It is being re-sited at what will be the new entrance to the college. A lasting reminder of the town's industrial heritage : )
