Borthwood in the Rain

On a morning of low cloud,mist and drizzle I donned wellingtons and ventured into the depths of Borthwood Forest.
I love the way that dull conditions saturate the colours and eliminate any problems of strong contrast. It was practically dark under the trees giving the scene a mystical atmosphere especially as I seemed to be the only person around. The rain helps to keep the dog walkers away.

Looking at my blips of one year ago it seems that the Autumn colours appeared at exactly the same time as this year.
