Strange Fruit

I am well aware that my title has serious overtones and don't wish to belittle them by using it for this image - but this tree does always remind me of the song usually associated with Nina Simone.

There is a large tide here - up to 6 metres - and this tree overhangs the shoreline, gathering seaweed and other sea-born matter at high water. I am always amazed that the tree can survive the conditions but it does.

I have realised today how dependent I have become on Lightroom - my free trial expired today and Amazon are late on delivery of the full version.
