Wrought iron art

I was in Leatherhead this morning for a few errands and a supermarket shop. We try and do most of our shopping in the village but sometimes we need to go further afield.
When we first knew the town, the High Street was heavy with traffic and there were narrow pavements. The Sainsbury's was a small shop with tiled walls where you had to queue at each counter separately to be served. How would that system work now, with the volume of trade they do?
Leatherhead High Street is now pedestrianised and at the end of the High Street is an elaborate area of ramps and steps, embellished with walls and interesting ironwork made by the local Fire and Iron Gallery. Within the ironwork are four pictorial discs depicting local transport - the railway, the river, the M25 and this one, the local road crossing the River Mole on the ancient bridge.
