Gardening at Night
Living in a city centre means that there are few gardens; but there are plenty of little pot gardens. I pass this one everyday and the very elderly lady who lives here can always be found pottering about, rearranging the plants, weeding, repotting, watering or pruning. Her jobs seem endless but clearly all her efforts pay off and I am sure it is a labour of love!
No occupation is so delightful to me as the culture of the earth, and no culture comparable to that of the garden.
