Crossed signals

CONNECTED is today's DDW challenge topic.

In a recent blip I asked, "What time is it?"
Now I'm asking, "What season is it?"

One tree says fall, another says spring. The great magnolia is full of buds!
Some signs stay late, like bright clinging leaves.
Others appear early, like cherry blossoms and fuzzy grey magnolia buds.

Each is responding in its own way to the rains, the falling temperatures, the sun breaks.
Each tree, connected to the same life-giving sources, insists on its own timetable.

Me, I'm going with spring.
