Munich underground: 12/100 Feldmoching

Feldmoching underground station was opened in 1996 and is the present-day terminus of the U2 line, where you can change to the suburban S-Bahn trains to the airport. Before the opening of this station the U2 line ended at the overly colourful stop at Dülferstraße.

The big photographs on the walls of the station are supposed to symbolise the rural life in the Feldmoching neighbourhood over ground.

The blip shows the station with a train just leaving for the reverser in the tunnel (as it is the terminus of the line). Sorry for my utter lack of imagination - the idea for the set-up is almost the same as in this shot.
