Peter Hook and The Light

Went to see Peter Hook and the Light in Edinburgh. What a storming gig. They did a short Joy Division set first, including starting with Atmosphere, no messing around there, then. They also did The Eternal which was just immense. They then went through the two New Order albums Movement and Power, Corruption & Lies. They also played the early (and best) New Order singles, Procession, Ceremony, Everything's Gone Green and Temptation. This was their 200th gig so they marked it by finishing with Love will Tear Us Apart. It was a fantastic gig, best I have seen in years (except Hawkwind of course!). Really powerful performance and great to hear these songs played so well. Saw New Order twice, in 1983 (and they were poor) and 2005 I think, but this was the bees knees. If you get the chance, go see them.
