I considered black and white, but over the next few weeks there will be no leaves left, so I wanted to capture the disappearing autumn colours.

Thanks for all the comments on my self-lit self portrait from yesterday. First time I have had a serious attempt at something like that. A cheap studio lamp focused on the wall to one side, the camera on a tripod at an angle to the light, and me facing the camera. I'm glad the camera has a tilting LCD screen - easier to try and estimate the composition. My brother compared my SP to this album cover from the 1980s...one of those I played again and again as a teenager.
