"the robin..."

Late night shopping and I stumble across this cute card! Definitely the sign that winter and Christmas are fast approaching!! :)

This card reminded me of one of the robins that mum and dad have had visiting our back yard at home all year. During the summer the female disappeared for a few days and mum was concerned that she may have fallen victim to one of next door's cats, however she finally reappeared to mum's delight, with ruffled feathers! She had clearly been sitting on her nest so mum felt the need to affectionately call the robin 'rufflebum'.

To the best of my knowledge, the two robins, robbie and rufflebum, still visit so we are looking forward to a winter of feeding them and hopefully seeing a red chested robin against the backdrop of white snow on Christmas Day....we can but hope! :)
