Fun by the Sea
A wee drop of rain didn’t stop us having a picnic at the beach today.
Caley loves a beach and the beauty of going on a damp November day is that it is much quieter. There were some other folk in the distance but we probably passed them at no closer than a hundred yards. We had the ball flinger, essential beach equipment, and Caley probably put out a thousand calories.
We didn’t actually dine at the beach and headed back to the car, about ten minutes walk. We gave Caley a dry and he hopped back in to the back of the car. We had the wee gas stove with us, normally reserved for the frequent Roy Bridge power cuts through the winter months, and cooked some nice dry cured bacon for our rolls The boys sat in the car for the their ones and Mrs Cakes and I kept Caley company at the tail gate and had our’s with coffee from the flask. Is that not civilised?
