A tour of a city beneath a city.

The city was Orvietto and the tour was of a labyrinth of tunnels underground dating back nearly 3000 years. Many are still used today as storage space and workshops and most houses above ground have access to one or more of them.
These stones remain below ground although they are no longer used for pressing olives as they were last century.
