Wales 40 - 6 Argentina

My son and I got up early and caught the bus to Twickenham to catch the 8.40 train to Reading. We had a half hour wait at the station where we had a cup of tea. We then caught the 10.15 train to Cardiff. Luckily, we had seat reservations; the train was quite busy. We were in Cardiff by midday. I had bought tickets for the Wales vs Argentina tickets over the phone and this time, I had opted to pick them up at the ticket office at the stadium. When I saw the queue, I regretted that I'd not had them sent to me like I usually do. When we got to the front of the queue and the girl couldn't find my tickets, I regretted it even more. I had no email confirmation and no proof that'd bought the tickets. Whilst we were in the 'problem with ticket' queue, my son noticed that the boxes were labelled alphabetically and he pointed out that the girl had not looked in the right box. I called her over and asked her to look in the right box: she found our ticket. Next time, I'll have them posted.
We then went for lunch and we had 15 minutes to walk round the shops. We went to Waterstones' and I bought a welsh GCSE book for daughter #1. Whilst we were there, my nephew called to say that he was also at the stadium. We headed for the stadium and went to look for him before taking our seats. He was therein a school trip.
The game was really good and Wales beat Argentina 40-6.
The game was meant to finish around 4.10 which would have given us plenty of time to head for the station and catch the 4.25 back to London. However, due to injury time, it was obvious that the match would not be over by then. My son and I decided that we would leave at 4.15 and run to the station. There was only a couple of minutes of the game left.
We were back in Twickenham at 7.09 pm and were greeted at the station by a crowd of rowdy, intoxicated English fans who'd been at the match in Twickenham. My husband was waiting for us around the corner in the car. We dropped off my son at home and we went straight to his school for the quiz night which started at 7.30pm. It was nearly midnight by the time it finished. We came 11th out of 40. Much better than last time.
