Jam tart

I love these fruity jam tarts! They remind me if tea time with my Granny, as she always had these or other equally sugary treats in stock. She was brilliant at baking (my mum and I tried several times to replicate her legendary treacle scone but it never tasted quite right) but was less adept with savoury things. Vegetables were always boiled, never steamed and usually presented on the plate limp and soggy. She was a wonderful gardener but sadly her green fingered ability has not been passed down to my mum or me. She wore a diamond necklace every day and had the most beautiful shock of white hair. I have been thinking about her a lot this week.
