Another Country, Another City!

Not one of the main sights of the Italian capital, but I was on a recce. walk to figure out my route to work tomorrow and given the weather, this was the best of a few dreary shots!

I'm here 'til Friday, so hope to be able to get to the Colosseum and the Spanish Steps et al, with fingers crossed for sunshine and blue skies, having arrived to claps of thunder and a downpour of rain this afternoon. Cool flight though, on an Embraer 145 - comfy seat, if a little short on leg room but with the bonus of having window & aisle seat at the same time! Had a snooze with the sun coming through the window after reading a couple of Sunday supplement mags that arrived this week (thanks S&J!). Of note was an article on Serena Williams, which I enjoyed reading and learnt that she possibly isn't as aggressive or as hard as she comes across on court... until I got to my hotel and saw her behaviour in the US Open Semis on the news! Worse than John McEnroe!

No camera action since Weds - trying to recall what I did. Notalot! Babysat on Friday night for a six-week old baby. She slept for the whole three hours and didn't leave her pram, much to my disappointment! Saturday, I had my second Polish lesson (did the alphabet), popped to the shops briefly and got myself organised for coming away. I then cooked for a colleague and her family, who are new in town and about to move from hotel to house. Busy busy!
