Who do they take after?

DDW's November Challenge Day 17: "Connected"

Struggled with an idea for this one but then it occurred to me that the thing that connects us as a family is our DNA so I thought it would be interesting to illustrate that with these composites of all of the children with Diana and myself.

Quite revealing I think. People are always saying who they think the children take after, and these pictures back some of that up but also illustrate to me at least that they get different characteristics from each of us. Some obvious matches for me:

~ Rachel has my head shape. Our features line up almost perfectly.
~ Matthew takes after Diana.His dark hair has always brought that comparison but again, his head shape is closest to Diana's. The other 3 come nowhere close
~ Although Luke is always compared to me, he has Diana's smile. Lucky lad. It has always worked for him
~ Like Rachel, I think Rosina is more like me than Diana.

I would like to repeat this exercise with a bit more care one day. This was a quick and dirty effort. Spending more time on the individual pictures to get the poses, expressions and lighting to match will yield better results I'm sure.
