Me and my brain

So, this is the prop setup I used for yesterday's Institute of Physics science communication competition at Plymouth University ! I was a bit concerned that going down the 'mad scientist' route wouldn't sit well with the judges, but I must have done something right since I won the runner's up prize. Woohoo!

With only 7 days to prepare my talk, I was a bit nervous and then the image of a brain floating in fluorescent liquid occurred to me. It was a pain to set up and I had to lug a lot of heavy and fragile equipment to Plymouth on the train, but it was definitely worth it!
