Langs moeders graf

A painting on a thin metal plate. The subject lies on top of it, and is punched out of the metal.
The name of the painting is "along mother's grave" (Langs moeders graf) by Jozef Israels.
It clearly tells the story of a poor laborer who left with his son and little daughter. They visit the grave of his wife, their mother.

The painting was already in possession of my wife's grandmother. It had always hung in the kitchen.
