Foamhenge

Left the Interstate to investigate a Little Known Curiosity. Natural Bridge, Virginia is an area of amazing natural rock formations, a wax museum and several Vintage motels. It is also the home of a Not So Well Known, man-made marvel called Foamhenge. "Foamhenge is a full-sized replica of Stonhenge made entirely out of styrofoam.The structure was created by Mark Cline of Enchanted Castle Studio in 2004, with the pieces in astronomically correct positions. Cline has described Foamhenge as his greatest achievement." ...Wikipedia Mark Cline says that "Foamhenge was completed in six weeks using beaded styrofoam blocks weighing up to 420 pounds. Delivered on 4 tractor trailer trips from Winchester, Virginia 100 miles north. It took 4-5 Mexicans and one crazy white guy to construct. It's purpose is to educate and entertain." Although almost 10 years old...and showing it's age ...Foamhenge is still really cool!
